Jason Fratus is an Associate at Wilkofsky, Friedman, Karel & Cummins, where he represents clients in insurance coverage disputes, property damage claims, and related litigation, including matters involving condominium boards and insurer bad faith. He is dedicated to ensuring that individuals and businesses receive the full protections and benefits they are entitled to under their policies and the law.

Jason earned his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School, where his leadership and performance earned him a seat on the Dean’s Leadership Counsel. He received his undergraduate degree in English from the University of California, Irvine, a foundation that sharpened his communication and advocacy skills.

Admitted to practice in New York State Court, the Eastern District of New York, New Jersey State Court, and the District of New Jersey, Jason has worked on litigation and legislative initiatives designed to strengthen consumer protections and hold insurers accountable when they fail to honor their obligations. His dual focus on courtroom advocacy and legislative reform reflects his commitment to driving meaningful change for policyholders across New York and New Jersey.

Before practicing law, Jason spent nearly a decade in the hospitality industry, where he developed strong client service skills and the ability to guide people through high-pressure situations with confidence and care. Those experiences translate directly into his legal work, where he is known for his responsiveness, clarity, and client-focused approach to complex disputes.
